Ethan Rivers is a musician, composer, and audio producer from New York. His influences span multiple music genres including classical, rock, electronic and ambient music. He has been composing music for over four years and studying music theory for the past five years. He currently plays the clarinet, alongside some piano and assorted percussion. Ethan specializes in composing orchestral scores by interweaving combinations of strings, brass, woodwinds, keyboards, and other instruments to create unique musical palettes. Moreover, he writes for different mediums including short films, a game, concert music, and his studio releases; they feature a blending of musical genres including orchestral and electronic/experimental works. All of his music has been independently composed, played and programmed using both digital instruments and self-recorded samples.
Ethan released his debut orchestral album titled 'Emergence' in August of 2019 marking his debut as a composer. Moreover, in June of 2020, he released his debut single release, 'A Time For Us' which showcases an emotional, orchestral sound palette This release was followed by a second single titled 'Heart of Winter'; It was released in February of 2021. Later that same year, he also released his second album titled 'Watercolors' in September of 2021 which features a mix of orchestral, ambient, and experimental influences. His debut orchestral EP titled 'Lifelines' was released in August 2022. Currently he is working on more film projects along with more studio releases. Furthermore, the composer is working on a clarinet quartet, which will be premiered in the fall. Ethan is currently studying Music Composition and Theory at Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. When he is not composing or performing music, he enjoys running, writing poems and short stories. In addition, he is also a photographer and graphic artist.
